Meet the team
After a long (too long) career working for large corporate insurance and investment companies I joined a regional firm of advisers in 2002 where I was tasked to look after the corporate client base and with developing personal client relationships. In 2006 having become pretty much unemployable Paul and I decided to launch our own business, which was swiftly followed by the largest economic crisis of the last 70 years. We weathered that particular storm and have established a strong advice practice, based around good communication and a personal approach aligned with the latest technology. I have sat too many exams to mention having spent 30 years in the business.
When not working I am a professional Dad to my children and my Hungarian Vizsla, In the rare moments I have to myself I enjoy running and cycling, while also enjoying live music and sporting events with my wife.
Paul was brought up in and around the Reading area and in 1986 joined Guardian Royal Exchange from school. From there he joined Norwich Union in 1989 as a senior member of their admin support team, before becoming a Broker Consultant in 1996. It was during the next 7 years that Paul was able to develop his industry experience before taking a position with a leading regional firm of financial advisers in 2003 where he provided advice to both corporate and private clients.
It was from here that he and James formed JPM Asset Management in June 2006. They have grown their business to include both large corporate and individual high net worth clients, providing advice on pension, investment and tax planning strategies.
Paul has the Financial Planning Certificate (FPC1, FPC2 & FPC3) and also holds the G60 Pension Qualification. He holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Financial Planning qualification and is studying for Chartered Status.
Paul is married with 2 children and when they are not taking up all of his free time he enjoys running, cycling, swimming and skiing.
